“Megan and I have always shared a vision of being able to bring people together in the community,” Sheree said. “Whether it’s over coffee or wine, day or night, our goal is to offer a casual setting for locals to chat, reconnect and celebrate.”
Since first taking over the business, Sheree said they had aimed to identify the needs of the community and had diversified to meet those needs whenever possible. “Willow has evolved substantially over the last few years and the idea of a neighbourhood bar had been in the back of our minds for quite some time,” she said.
“When the shop next door became available, we thought, ‘why not?’”
Thankfully Megan and Sheree have felt their community’s full support with each alteration of their business over the years, and it seems the same is true for their new venture.
“We love the connection we have with our community and other local businesses,” Sheree
said. “They have trusted our decisions and recommendations and are just as excited about our latest venture as we are.”
Building on the success of their coffee shop and pantry, the new bar shares the same welcoming vibe, and is both family and date-night friendly.
“It’s the perfect place to grab a drink, share a bite to eat and come together with friends,” Sheree said. “With a variety of tapas style share plates on offer, the bar menu features local products that customers have come to love from our pantry.”
Since the bar’s opening last month, Sheree said that she and Megan have enjoyed welcoming customers into their new space. “So far the response has been overwhelming,” she said.
“There seems to be lots of support for our concept, which has made us really excited.”
