Today, the Mary Valley Rattler is both an educational and picturesque experience, with stories shared by the volunteer drivers, staff and guards.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the station relies on its dedicated volunteers and donations to keep the service alive and running.
In addition to the train rides, the station boasts the Rusty Rails Café and a souvenir shop, and caters for groups, functions and school trips. For a truly unique experience, guests can also book private charters.

“On 10 and 18 December, we will have our Christmas twilight trains,” Mallory said.
