Sway into Spring at Dance and Music Soiree
Life is more upbeat with music and dance to soothe the senses and lift the spirit.

This spring, Artrageous Community Arts Centre at Deagon presents ‘A Dance and Music Soiree’ – a fun-filled evening featuring a variety of performers to move and entertain you.

Performances by Bohemienne Dreams, Deagon Deviation Tribal Fusion, Carla (Flamenco), Eunoia Dance, Sandy (Native American Flutist) and Monique (Singer) are joined by special guest, Adel Amin, of Joyful Drumming.

Co-produced by Lee-Anne Martin and Rhonda Campbell, the audience can expect a fun family atmosphere filled with a bit of an ‘eclectic cabaret’ flair.

Rhonda said that they are very excited to be sharing this event with the 4017 community, as Artrageous has brought so much to her life and the lives of others.

“The performers enjoy coming together to celebrate their passion for dance and music. They share experiences while teaching each other new things … like a family.

“Artrageous fosters my love of music, movement, creativity – it brings me joy and I’ve grown as a person. I used to hide up the back, but now I’m more confident and allow myself to be seen,” Rhonda said.

The fun starts at 4.30pm, when everyone is welcome to join drummer Adel in a music jam – BYO instrument and make some beautiful noise.

The show itself starts at 5.30pm and there will be complimentary nibbles, drinks by donation, and lucky door and raffle prizes.

All proceeds are being donated to Artrageous said co-producers Lee-Anne and Rhonda.

“I need to keep Artrageous alive because it’s given myself and others the opportunity to try new things, to explore and be creative,” Lee-Anne said.

“We’d like to raise awareness, for future generations, of Artrageous Arts as a creative hub, an arts venue and a place which builds community,” Rhonda said.

Come and enjoy an evening of celebrating dance and music of all genres. Bookings are essential. Tickets are available via Facebook (search for ‘A Dance and Music Soiree’) or pop in to Artrageous.
