Have you ever wondered what your aura looks like? Or perhaps wanted to get a message from the spirit realm?
If so, you may find the answers at the Harmony and Well-Being Fair on Saturday, 14 March, which will offer visitors the chance to explore their spiritual side in one of Sandgate’s most picturesque settings.
Held at the Girl Guides’ hut on the shaded edge of the iconic Dowse Lagoon, the fair is being hosted by the Church of United Spiritualism Australia’s Sandgate branch, which congregates each week in the same location.
The Sandgate branch’s minister, Reverend Annie Bonnick, said the day promised to be fun, informative and entertaining, with many different types of psychic readings and alternative healings on offer.
“I’ve even got a person who can read the energy of people’s animals,” she said.
“And I’m hoping to get an aura photographer. Some people work with psychic reading or evidential readings [where the message contains evidence that it is really your loved one communicating].
“ Psychic readings are typically messages that come through from any number of realms – angelic, spirit guides, or ancestors.”
A range of alternative healing practices such as reiki, massage, and sound healing will also be offered, as well as a line-up of expert guest speakers. There will also be a Shamanic drumming demonstration – an ancient healing technique that harnesses the energy created by the sound of the drum.
With spiritual sustenance well provided for, nourishment for the body will be taken care of by the Sandgate Girl Guides, who will be catering for the event with a range of home-made goodies.
Reverend Annie said the Girl Guides’ hut was the perfect setting for both the fair and the Church’s congregation, because of its situation between two lagoons.
“There are a lot of healing emotions in water,” she said.
“The other thing is the energy – because of the Girl Guides, there is a lot of young, vibrant energy there.”
