Romance and red dirt come together in a new book from local author Renae Black, who is hosting an author talk to let people know more.
The event at Sandgate Library will showcase Ms Black’s latest novel, Red Dirt Home, which will be released in print, ebook, and audio format in early March.
According to Ms Black, she will also be sharing aspects of her publishing journey, writing process and inspirations.
“I grew up reading Ann M. Martin’s Baby-Sitter Club books and Bonnie Bryant’s The Saddle Club, and my favourites were the ones where boyfriends made an appearance,” Ms Black said.
Ms Black said that as a writer within the rural romance genre, she has found a lot of support from the local community.
“Our Brisbane and Moreton Bay patch has so much to offer a creative mind between the bay, the island and the paddocks, and it’s a diversity that allows the juices to really flow,” she said.
Ms Black will also be signing copies of Red Dirt Home, which people can purchase at the event (or bring their own).
