The local skate park is a great place to learn safe scooter skills.
RampFest is hosting freestyle scooter coaching for children aged between 10 and 17 years at Deagon Skate Park this month.
The free activity is part of Brisbane City Council’s Active and Healthy program and encourages kids to make the most of local skate parks.
“This program is a safe space for young participants to learn how to stay safe in skate parks and the etiquette of using them,” a Council spokesperson said.
“It’s all about building participant’s confidence, improving patience and teaching them that persistence pays off.”
Participants must have a suitable freestyle scooter and helmet.
