December 1936 renowned Broadway actor William Gillette, admired for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, invites his fellow cast and friends around for a festive weekend on Christmas eve at his Connecticut castle full of gadgets and tricks. However, the revelries turn to danger and mystery and murder.

To solve the case, Gillette assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes before another victim falls foul of the killer.

From the opening scene, the suspense and hilarity track the killer in this holiday whodunnit with a final twist sweeter than a candy cane.
