Hear Expert Retirement Advice From Noel Whittaker

Retirees on the northside will hear from the mouth of a personal finance guru and international bestselling author. �

Finance and investment expert Noel Whittaker will be the guest speaker at the Brisbane North Retirees' meeting this month at Geebung RSL Club.

Club president Harty Meinecke said he was looking forward to hearing Noel's presentation.

He is regarded as the most respected and knowledgeable authority on all matters of personal finance with several excellent books to his name,� Harty said.

I've read Noel's books and his newspaper articles. They have been very informative, but it will be exciting to hear Noel in person.�

Noel has written over 20 bestselling books, including Making Money Made Simple and Retirement Made Simple. He was the director of Queensland financial planning company Whittaker Macnaught for 30 years. In 2011 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the community in raising awareness of personal finance.

Noel said his presentation would cover the retirement scene in general and the major challenges facing retirees.

This includes today's investing options ' what new products are coming on the market, the latest changes to pension rules, recommendations from the Retirement Income Review and the Retirement Income Covenant, and where to from here,� Noel said.

Retirees need to be made aware of the way the world is changing and what they need to do to give themselves a healthy and prosperous retirement.�

At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to ask Noel questions and have their books signed.

Noel said he enjoyed interacting with the audience.

I like to make my talks more like a workshop,� he said.

Harty said anyone interested in hearing Noel speak could attend the meeting.

Visitors are always welcome at Brisbane North Retirees meetings but on this occasion, due to the popularity of the guest speaker and COVID space restrictions, pre-booking is required,� he said.
