Music and Healing Through Satsang
Three spiritual leaders will fuse sound with meditation at a free wellbeing initiative presented by BrisAsia Festival.

Satsang Sacred Gathering takes place at the Fitzgibbon Community Centre this month.

Hindu spiritual leader and accredited meditation teacher Guruji Sai Saileshwara said satsang meant a gathering in the company of truth.

“This sacred gathering will bring together three spiritual leaders from different traditions who will facilitate an experience of meditation, music, chants, song and speech to uplift, inspire, relax and connect with the audience,” Guruji said.

“Each of the performers will deliver a meditative presentation from their own cultural tradition and at the end, we will collaborate, fuse, jam and free-flow to create something absolutely unique.”

Guruji will be joined by Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal and yoga and meditation expert Yogi Kunga.

“It is a unique opportunity to hear from a Tibetan Buddhist musician, a Tibetan Buddhist yogi and a Hindu spiritual master on a shared and collaborative platform,” Guruji said. “We will be supported by live musicians including guitar, harmonium and table.”

The event also includes a panel discussion on culture, the arts, and community health and wellbeing.

The BrisAsia Festival is presented by Brisbane City Council and celebrates Asian art, culture and cuisine across more than 50 events.
