Your Early Morning Coffee Sorted!

Wake up and smell the coffee, because there’s a new spot for locals to get their morning caffeine fix.

The Sands Social are bringing their brand new coffee van to the bay this month.

Venue manager Thomas Lidstone said he was excited about providing an espresso hit to the early risers in Sandgate.  

“Funnily enough the coffee van idea came up when a few of us were having our morning coffee and were trying to come up with ideas of how we could repurpose one of our old vans,” Thomas said.

“We wanted to be able to connect with the early risers within our community and what’s a better way than coffee?

“The coffee van is called Spill the Beans and is a nod to that social aspect we encourage when people come to visit our venue.”

The colourful, eye-catching artwork on the van was created by The Sands Social’s 20-year-old graphic designer.

“Our graphic designer, Krystal came up with the concept and from the look of the van, it is clear to see that she has knocked the concept out of the park,” Thomas said.

Spill the Beans will be located at the corner of Keogh Street and will open from 7-10am from Monday to Friday from mid July.
