Student Art Display Reflects Community and Christmas
ocal students will showcase their community spirit in a festive art display this month.
Bracken Ridge Plaza will feature a Christmas art wall with inspiring creative pieces by students from Norris Road State School.
As regional marketing manager for JLL in Queensland, Setty Ferdousian manages Bracken Ridge Plaza, and said the art wall was a continuation of last year’s partnership with the school.
“Last year we did a Christmas bauble collaboration where the students painted baubles, which we hung around the centre,” Setty said.
“The community loved this and we had so much positive feedback. So we decided to do it again this year, but with a twist. The students are gifting our community with a special surprise. It will be installed in December and throughout Christmas everyone can come and see it at the centre.”
The school was provided with new art supplies and each of the 29 classes was given a canvas to decorate.
“Rather than getting a creative agency to decorate the wall, we are giving the children a chance to profile themselves and give something to the community,” Setty said.
“They are going to do something special to surprise our customers.”
The Christmas art wall will be located in the corridor between Coles and The Butcher is the Chef.
